Amazon is offering an assortment of Kindle Fire HD deals in celebration of Father’s Day, deals that warrant a look from those that are searching for a tablet for Dad before June 16th.
In response to the Father’s Day iPad mini deals that have knocked $50 to $140 off of the price, Amazon has posted some offers on its stable of Kindle Fire HD tablets. While the discount isn’t as sharp as the iPad mini price drops, those looking to score a Kindle Fire HD tablet will find that Amazon has knocked $20 off the Kindle Fire HD, Kindle Fire HD 8.9″, and the Kindle Fire HD 8.9″ 4G.
Unlike the iPad mini deals though, these deals apply to those looking to buy new Kindle Fire HD tablets. The iPad mini deals that have emerged are for refurbished versions of Apple’s smaller slate.
Kindle Fire HD Deals
Those looking to take advantage of the Amazon offer simply need to add the Kindle Fire HD, Kindle Fire HD 8.9″, and the Kindle Fire HD 8.9″ 4G to the cart and enter DADSFIRE as a promo code at checkout. This will knock the pricing of the devices down $20 which means pricing of the Kindle Fire will fall to as low as $179.99 through Amazon.
The cheapest version of the Kindle Fire HD of course is the 16GB model that starts at $199.99. The most expensive model is the 64GB 4G version of the device which checks in with a price tag of $499.99. The 4G model runs on the 4G LTE network of AT&T, the second largest 4G LTE service provider in the United States.
Amazon’s original Kindle Fire still remains the cheapest option at $159.99 but the device does not have the same HD screen as the Kindle Fire HD, making the HD model a much better choice for Dad.
That leaves Google’s Nexus 7 as the only major 7-inch tablet that hasn’t received an official deal. That certainly could change in the days ahead but given that the Nexus 7 is already priced at a discounted $199.99, a price drop seems unlikely.
