Kindle for Mac App Finally Released in Dark of Night

Amazon has finally released it Kindle for the Mac app, doing so quietly last night. Similar to the Windows version this looks very bare bones and it is labeled as Beta.

It’s missing a few features like being able to take notes, but you do get to view the covers of books in color. You can use the keyboard or a mouse to turn pages. I haven’t given this a try yet, but Xavier has and he put up a review on Notebooks.com. I’ll say this, and it may be premature, I wasn’t all that impressed with the Kindle app for the PC, and from what I’m seeing and reading, I’m most likely not going to be that impressed with the Mac version either.
