Just weeks ahead of Nokia’s annual Nokia World conference, a leak has detailed specs for the company’s Nokia Sun, a Windows Phone 7 Mango handset. Nokia has promised in the past that it would have a portfolio of Windows Phones to show by the end of the year, and the Nokia Sun may be one of several devices that could potentially be introduced at Nokia World. In the past, we’ve heard of the Nokia Sea Ray, a device that borrows its design aesthetics from the MeeGo-powered Nokia N9, the Nokia Sabre, and a handset described by a now terminated Microsoft employee as being a solid Windows Phone 7 device.
According to the leak, the Nokia Sun may be a mid-range device with a smaller 3.7-inch AMOLED display. The device will have a 1.4 GHz single-core CPU, micro SIM card slot, 8-megapixel camera, and 16 GB of on-device storage. Additionally, the Sun will utilize a unibody plastic construction.
The leak mentions that French carrier Orange is poised to sell the phone in the week of November 7-13.
