The LG Optimus U1, a smartphone that’s been leaked with a large display and slim form factor, may be LG’s first Android phone to ship with Google’s Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. At this time, there isn’t much leaked as far as specs for the device, other than some images that depict the front, rear, and sides of the handset. Like the LG Optimus Black before it, this device will have a slim profile and the rear will feature tapered left and right side edges that make the device extremely comfortable to hold.
It’s still unclear if the handset will ship out of the box with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, which will be the first Android platform to merge the user experience of Honeycomb for tablets and the the Android platform for smartphones to run on smaller form factor devices.
The handset is expected to launch next year.
