Linux Competition on the Microsoft Surface Front?

Looks like there may be some competition for Microsoft’s Surface Technology from the Linux world. The Linux MPX Multi-touch Table. According to this interview with one of the developers on Gizmodo, this still has a long way to go. But it is good to see that others are working on this kind of multi-touch applications as well. The key difference so far? This system detects input from up to four multiple users, but has some difficulty detecting multi-touch from the same user.
