Litl Webbook on Video

Doug Aamoth published a video of the Litl webbook over at Crunchgear. The 12″ netbookis priced at $700, which I think is way too much for a device that doesn’t do a whole lot. In the video Litl CEO John Chuang says that they tried to “get rid of the computery stuff.” Unfortunately the company succeeded a little too well in its goal. I understand now a lot of people are looking for simplicity, but most home users I know want to be able to do things like upload photos, download content and run some applications. If this came out before the netbook craze it may have had a shot in selling. I don’t know anyone that would spend $700 on this device when they can get a fully functioning PC for less.

It’s got some value, but the price point should be more like $300 or less.

Well over priced if you ask me, not to mention it’s an ugly beast. I’ll pass
