Magellan MiVue 450D Dashcam Records You & the Police

Published

on

Recording your drive to and from work and around the town is an increasingly popular activity as users worry about accidents, crazy drivers and insurance scams.

A new dashcam from Magellan includes dual cameras that record in front of you and record in the car, with an option to rotate the camera to record in your car and to swivel to capture what is happening in the driver area of the car.

The Magellan MiVue 450D can record in 1440P using two dies angle lenses that can capture a 240 degree view of your car and the surroundings so that you can record what is in front of you and what is happening if you get pulled over.

A Magellan rep mentioned that one use case of the MiVue 450D is to record your interactions with police, which is a growing concern for some drivers. In standard mode you record facing forward and towards the back, but you can swivel the camera to point towards the driver window if needed.

The camera features integrated WiFi and will automatically record if there is an accident so that footage is not overwritten. Integrated WiFi makes it possible to send the footage to your smartphone easily. There is a 2.7-inch display so you can see what is happening on the screen.
