Microsoft comments on the Vista upgrade coupon story

Last week, I ran a story about Microsoft possibly launching a Vista discount program beginning in October to encourage holiday sales of PCs. Earlier today, I asked Microsoft for an official comment on this story, since it is beginning to pick up steam in the main stream press. Kevin Kutz, Director of Windows Client at Microsoft, had this to say on the discount program:

“We are talking with all of our partners about plans for an offer, but those discussions are ongoing and we have nothing more to share at this time.”
