With steep price cuts and bundles, one might have expected that we’d already seen the best Xbox One deals. Think again. The retail stores and the online Microsoft Store website are offering big discounts on Xbox One games and even throwing in an extra game for Xbox One bundle buyers.
For today only, Microsoft is slashing the cost of Xbox One games. Kinect Sports Rivals is now just $24.99 instead of the $49.99 it cost just days ago. Sunset Overdrive costs $39.99 during Microsoft’s Cyber Monday deal instead of the $59.99 it normally would. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is just $39.99
Joining those two are Thief for $19.99, Wolfenstein: The New Order for $24.99, Forza 5 for $24.99, Ryse: Son of Rome for $29.99, Dead Rising 3 for $24.99, Zoo Tycoon for $19.99, Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag for $24.99, Call of Duty: Ghosts for $14.99, , Alien: Isolation for $29.99, Shadow of Mordor for $24.99, Diablo 3 for $39.99, Fanatasia Music Evolved for $29.99, FIFA 15 for $29.99, Rocksmith 2014 for $49.99, Tomb Raider-Definitive Edition for $19.99, Metro Redux for $24.99, Duck Dynasty for $24.99, Just Dance 2015 for $24.99, Sniper Elite 3 for $19.99, The LEGO Movie Video Game for $19.99, Lego Marvel Super Heroes for $14.99, Disney Infinity Starter Pack for $39.99, NBA 2K15 for $29.99, The Evil Within for $24.99, NHL 15 for $39.99 and Murdered: Soul Suspect for $24.99.
That’s a lot of savings on fairly new Xbox One titles. These deals are perfect for anyone who either already purchased an Xbox One console this holiday season or last. It’s also great for anyone who already has plans to purchase an Xbox One and needs more games.
For those who were on the fence, Microsoft began offering what could be considered the greatest Xbox One deal ever. At midnight it launched a refurbished Xbox One bundle that included a Kinect 2 sensor, Ryse: Son of Rome, Dance Central Spotlight and another free game to be chosen by individual shoppers. That entire bundle only cost buyers $329. Since going live that bundle has sold out.
Also available at $329 is the Xbox One Assassin’s Creed bundle. Buyers of this bundle don’t get a free Kinect 2 sensor – they’ll have to purchase one separately for $150. This bundle includes the Xbox One itself, digital copies of Assassin’s Creed Unity, Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag and another free game chosen by buyers. Luckily for Cyber Monday 2014 shoppers this deal hasn’t yet sold out. It’s still available on Microsoft’s website, though it now has a “limited quantities” notification. Among the free games users can get are Dragon Age: Inquisition, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, FIFA 15, Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare, Rabbits Invasion, The Wolf Among Us, Kinect Sports Rivals and Far Cry 4. Shipping for this bundle is rated as a few weeks.
Microsoft revealed the Xbox One at an event on its campus last year. Every version includes a wireless controller, a Blu-ray drive, power cable, HDMI cable and chat headset. The $499 version Microsoft sold to buyers last year included a Kinect 2 sensor for motion gaming, video chatting and live television. Inside the Xbox One is a 500GB hard drive for installing and storing video games from Xbox Live. The $349 version being sold today for $329 doesn’t include the Kinect 2 sensor but almost always includes a free game. Earlier this month that free game was Sunset Overdrive. Today that free game is Assassin’s Creed Unity. Purchased separately, Assassin’s Creed Unity would cost buyers $60.
Everything potential Xbox One gamers need to get started is included in the $329 Xbox One bundle except a subscription to Xbox Live. Xbox Live allows users to play games online with other people and download two free games a month. Xbox Live is either $60 a year or $10 a month.
