Microsoft Updates Windows Live for Windows Mobile

Published

merchThe mobile wars continue unabated and whether it is deserved or not, much of the focus on the software side is on Apple’s iPhone 3.0 software and the hotly anticipated release of the Palm Pre and its new WebOS software. Microsoft is trying gamely to keep some focus on Windows Mobile, and   its new version.

But if you use any of Microsoft’s Windows Live services on your Windows Mobile device, there’s something new for you to grab and check out as Microsoft has just released a new client for the Windows Live Services for WinMo devices.

The new client contains mobile versions of Windows Live Hotmail (both both pull and push sync), Windows Live Messenger, Windows Live Contacts, Windows Live Spaces, Microsoft Live Search and enhanced photo upload capabilities. It looks like it is free as well.

Still no Live Calendar sync though, so I don’t really see much point in updating if you have it built into your phone already.
