Mophie is best known for its Juice Pack Air iPhone battery case, but today the company has a new rugged external battery that will work with almost any device that’s powered over USB. It’s called the Mophie Juice Pack Powerstation Pro and it’s a 6,000 mAh external battery with an IP-65 rating.
The Powerstation Pro is the largest external battery Mophie has ever produced. With the gigantic lithium-ion battery, users can fully charge their smartphones at least once, and possibly twice, depending on the phone.
The battery can even power an iPad for several hours, though not to a full charge.
Mophie says the Powerstation Pro can charge a device quickly because of its high-output battery, though the exact time will depend on the device that’s charging.
The IP-65 rating for the Powerstation Pro means that it’s able to withstand water, dust, and sand.
Of course, you’ll want the ports closed when dealing with any of them. The battery can even withstand a drop in a stream, as shown in the promo video above. With such durability, the Mophie Juice Pack Powerstation Pro seems like the perfect external battery for camping or hiking trips.
If there’s one downside to the Powerstation Pro it’s that we can see that it only has one USB port That means that you can only charge one device at a time. Even a second USB port would be great so users can share their “juice” with friends.
The Mophie Juice Pack Powerstation Pro is available now for $129.95 from Mophie’s website.
