Morning Wrapup: Toshiba E305, MSI Notebooks, X220 and More
Catching you up on Notebooks, we have a look at some new notebooks available for purchase and our first impressions of the Toshiba Satellite E305 Blue Label notebook.
New Notebooks for April 2011:
- ThinkPad X220 – Editor’s Choice Award winner goes on sale
- MSI CR640 and CX640 – 2nd Gen Core i3 powered notebooks available in the U.S.
- IdeaPad Z570 – Metal Chassis and Sandy Bridge now yours for $699
We also have posted our first impressions of the Toshiba Satellite E305-S1990, a Blue Label 3.0 notebook from Best Buy with a 2nd Gen Intel Core i5 processor, 4GB RAM, a 500GB Hybrid hard drive, Blu-ray player, backlit keyboard and Intel Wireless display 2.0. The Toshiba E305 also has a 7 hour battery (according to Toshiba) and an all metal frame which looks and feels nice. In short, we are quite impressed with the notebook so far, especially considering it is $899 with a two-year warranty and includes a Wireless Display 2.0 adapter.
In other news, the Windows 8 Metro login screen was caught on camera, the EliteBook 8560w snuck in a CFast slot and Apple has updated iTunes to 10.2.2 to account for security and bug fixes.
