Motorola’s popular 2nd Gen Moto X which was released in September of 2014 has been well received for all the customization with real wood and leather materials for the rear design, not to mention a decent price tag. And while lately we’ve seen countless deals lowering the price, this week Motorola announced a great deal that not only lowers the price, but delivers a free pair of $200 wireless headphones too.
Motorola’s Moto X 2nd Gen was revealed in September then eventually hit most US carriers, and instantly was made popular thanks to the array of customization options mentioned above, and for running stock Android 4.4 KitKat on a bigger, better 5.2-inch 1080p display compared to last years model.
Verizon dropped the price of its Moto X a few months back after it had only been available for a short while, and in February Motorola lowered the price by over $100 just in time for Valentine’s Day shoppers. This week though, we have something completely different for potential buyers.
On Sunday, both Samsung and HTC announced two flagship smartphones which will be competing with the Moto X in the coming months. Those being the HTC One M9 and the brand new Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. The phones are set to be released in March and April, which could be part of the reason Motorola is trying to get more sales now before those new phones arrive.
In what Motorola is calling a Harmonious deal, those looking to buy a brand new unlocked Moto X (2nd Gen) from Motorola.com will receive a free pair of quality wireless Bluetooth headphones, made by Motorola’s sister company SOL REPUBLIC. These headphones retail for $200 usually, and come absolutely free as a bundle with the Moto X right now.
The Moto X 16GB typically costs $499 and comes with a suite of customization options. From different colors, accent colors, real wooden backs, and even leather options with the new Moto X. However, this deal cuts the price down to $449. This means you’ll be getting a $50 discount on the smartphone AND a free set of headphones. Making this one of the better deals we’ve seen as of late.
This deal is only for the carrier-free unlocked Moto X, also known as the “Pure Edition” Moto X, and if you add both it and the headphones to your cart from our link above, you’ll instantly get the savings.

The Pure Edition Moto X is unlocked and works on most carriers in the United States, not to mention is the first Moto X to receive updates from Google and Motorola. It was the first to Android 5.0 Lollipop, and the first to Android 5.0.1, and users can expect it to be first to receive Android 5.1. Lollipop once it’s released.
This is a limited time only deal that won’t last long, nor will supplies of these impressive headphones. Motorola has confirmed this impressive $50 discount and free headphones Moto X deal will only last until March 10 at 10:59 a.m. CT, so you better hurry and get one now before they’re all gone.
Jump on this deal now, or wait a month or so and get the new HTC One M9 or Galaxy S6. The choice is yours.
