Motorola to Resurrect Moto X Cyber Monday Promo on Wednesday, Next Monday

Published

on

Motorola’s aggressive Cyber Monday promotion for its flagship Moto X smartphone had caused the Google-owned smartphone-maker’s website to crash under heavy traffic load, and to make up for the down time, Motorola will be hosting the same promotion again later. For customers who were not able to snag the Moto X for the advertised $349 price tag–a significant $150 discount off of the normal retail price for the contract-free smartphone–Motorola is making good on its word and will be hosting the Moto X sale again on Wednesday starting at noon Eastern Standard Time and again this coming Monday.

“Our Moto X Moto Maker offer will go live at 12 ET on Wed and again on Monday,” Motorola Mobility tweeted. “We apologize for the inconvenience.”

In a follow up, the company says that the deals will be good for the Moto Maker only, noting that the “Dev Edition Cyber Monday deal is sold out.”

Though the Moto X may not boast the best specs on the market today like Google’s own branded Nexus 5 with the fastest quad-core CPU or a full HD display, the Moto X does come with great specs and many options for customization. If you’re interested in the phone, you now have two more chances to get a pretty sizable discount off of the normal MSRP for the Moto X. Be sure to set your calendar and alarms.
