In the middle of a busy week of tech news from the annual Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Motorola just sent out invites to interrupt the show with some news of their own. A new product launch in the UK in the coming weeks.
In fact, come January 14th in London Motorola will be showing us the next step of their Journey, after a successful launch of the Moto G. They are calling it “the next step” themselves, so we’re wondering if this will be a new device, or the company’s flagship finally available over in London. While we can’t be certain what the Google-owned company has planned, we have a few good ideas.
Motorola’s been extremely quite aside from the budget-friendly Moto G, so there’s a small chance they’ve been keeping thing extremely quite and will indeed have a new smartphone or tablet to launch, but that’s not too likely. Instead, the missing in action flagship customizable Moto X could finally be coming to the UK.
The Moto X is the company’s current flagship device being made and assembled all right here in the USA. Available from all major US carriers, it’s completely customizable, and has already been updated to Android 4.4 KitKat well ahead of most devices available today. Finally launching, customization features included, in the UK, could be a big move for Motorola as the new year kicks off.

There is a Moto X present in the image and invite above, which could be a sign that we can expect the company to reveal the device for the UK, but at this point anything is possible. Leaks and rumors around a new Motorola device have been few and far between, so we’re pretty sure it will be a variant of a device already available in some other regions.
