On Friday I had a situation where I needed somebody to look at a map I had on my screen, it was an application running on my Vista machine. The other person was using Windows XP. In my quick research, it’s not possible to use Windows Meeting Space and connect with somebody using NetMeeting on Vista. This weekend I did another search and found there was a MS Hotfix that would allow the use of NetMeeting on Vista.
I haven’t tried it just yet since it’s been installed, but there is very detailed information listed on the Hotfix page on what works and what doesn’t. Hope this helps a few people in their quest to connect up with mismatched OS versions remotely!!
