New iPad Ads From Apple Focus on Apps

Published

on

Apple recently released two new ads for the iPad and iPad mini that focus on the apps available for the tablets.

The two new ads are called ‘Alive’ and ‘Together.’ Each showcases different apps on both the fourth generation iPad and the iPad mini. Each ad follows the same formula: several words flash quickly in the middle of the screen, then the ads show apps that exemplify how using the iPad and iPad mini fit the word.

Apps shown in the ads range from reading apps like iBooks, to music apps like Garageband, as well as a number of games and reference apps.

Apple doesn’t mention it in the ads, but in the description of each YouTube video it notes that iPad users have access to over 300,000 apps dedicated to just their tablets. The iOS App Store currently holds more than 800,000 apps available for all iOS devices, from iPhones to iPads. Both the iPad and iPad mini can run all of those apps, though the 500,000 apps made for iPhone and iPad touch appear in a window that emulates the smaller screen of those devices.

Apple recently released a new version of the 9.7-inch iPad with more storage space than any other model. The new model has 128GB of storage space and sells for $800 with just Wi-Fi and $930 with a 4G LTE cellular service. The 128GB iPad can hold a huge number of apps and is mostly intended for business users who want a large number of documents on their device at all times.

There are rumors of a new iPad model coming this year with a design that mirrors the iPad mini, but it likely won’t come out until this fall. Rumors for the next iPad mini say it will have a Retina Display like the 9.7-inch model.
