Microsoft says users can save up to $309 through this Surface Pro 3 deal, but that’s only if they purchase the more Surface Pro 3 with 256GB of storage and an Intel Core i5 Processor. That model normally costs, $1299, but is on sale for $1149 for a limited time.

Though Microsoft isn’t offering a huge discount on the Surface Pro 3 itself, there is a decent amount of savings to be had for those who were already planning on purchasing the device, or were considering it.

Revealed last summer, the Surface Pro 3 is the closest Microsoft has come to success in the hardware PC space. Previous generations of the Surface Pro were odd-shaped, thick and a pain to use outside of very specific scenarios. The Surface Pro 3 is the most versatile Windows PC 2-in-1 available.

A 12-inch high-definition touch screen display and single front-facing hardware button give the Surface pro 3 the look of a tablet, but inside the Surface Pro 3 uses Intel Processors that allow it to run both touch-friendly apps from the Windows Store and more complicated, mission critical apps like Photoshop and a full version of Microsoft Outlook. There’s a single USB port for connecting with printers, controllers and extras. A MiniDisplay port lets users output video to a television or projector. Those who need something more akin to a notebook can purchase the completely optional Surface Pro Type Cover. That cover and the adjustable kickstand built into the device make it easy get work done anywhere.
