The Nexus 4 Wireless Charger, previously called the Nexus 4 Wireless Charging Orb, is a small spherical charger that uses magnets to hold the Nexus 4 in place while wirelessly charging the smartphone. Users do not need to plug anything in to the Nexus 4, just place it on the charger and it will begin to charge. The Nexus 4 Wireless Charger comes with a Micro USB cable and a plug to supply power.

The charger uses the Qi wireless charging standard to charge the Nexus 4, and there are other charging options, but as we discovered, not all Qi chargers will work on every phone, which makes the official Nexus 4 Qi wireless charger appealing.

When users place the Nexus 4 on the wireless charger it will activate Day Dream mode, a new Android 4.2 feature that shows images from the users’ camera roll on the screen. This option can be disabled in the device settings.
