Nexus 5 Android Marshmallow Release: 7 Things to Expect
The Nexus 5 Android 6.0 Marshmallow update is confirmed though we still don’t know exactly when Google will take it out of beta and deliver it to the public. Armed with new details, we want to take a look at a few things we expect from the Nexus 5 Android Marshmallow release.
We’ve been using the Nexus 5 since its release back in 2013 and like many of you, we’ve installed every single Android update that Google’s thrown at us. From KitKat to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, we’ve been through it all.
Earlier this year, Google confirmed another system update for the Nexus 5. At Google I/O, the company announced Android M and outlined a number of its key features. The company also released an Android M Developer Preview that’s been available for the Nexus 5 for several months now.
We’re now on the Android M Developer Preview 3 which means that we’re one step closer to the public release of the update that’s now known as Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Google confirmed the name a few days ago ahead of another inevitable announcement.
Rumor has it, Google’s cooking up two new Nexus smartphones, one from LG and the other from Huawei. Google, like Apple, tends to confirm new software details alongside new hardware.
With an Android Marshmallow release confirmed for Q3 and a Nexus launch date on the horizon, it’s time to start paying attention to the Nexus 5 Android 6.0 release. And here, we get you started with some things to expect from Google and its upcoming Nexus 5 Marshmallow release and release date.
