The Nokia Lumia 900 has a 4.3-inch ClearBlack display that not only looks great but has some of the best durability of any smartphone screen on the market. And in a new test, the Lumia 900’s screen withstands beat down with a hammer and nail and actually is used, successfully, as a hammer itself.
This new video comes from the folks at TechCraver and it gives consumers an idea of just how durable the screen is on the Lumia 900.
In the video, we see the Lumia 900 get used like a piece of wood. The guy on camera uses a hammer and nail and starts pounding away on the display. Once finished, the display in the Lumia 900 is intact and there is no visible damage that can been seen.

However, he takes it a step further.
Using a long piece of wood, he uses the Lumia 900’s screen as a hammer and actually nails in the nail to the piece of wood using the Lumia 900’s screen. Again, there is no visible damage that can be seen on the device’s screen.
Clearly, neither of these are things that would actually happen to the phone in the real world but it does give consumers a pretty good idea about the protection that should be expected from the Lumia 900’s display. It should also give clumsy consumers piece of mind.
The Nokia Lumia 900 is currently AT&T’s flagship Windows Phone and it can be had for a mere $99.99 on-c0ntract through the carrier.
It features a 8MP Carl Zeiss camera, and the 1830 mAh battery. You’ll also get 4G LTE capabilities which means data speeds that are up to 10 times faster than those found on your normal 3G network.
