Barnes & Noble announced that the comic books available via Nook Comics are now available to customers with the Nook app on Android tablets. Previously only available to those with a Nook device (Color or Tablet), the bookseller is expanding the reader base to the thousands of customers with Android tablets (7 inches and up. Sorry Galaxy Note lovers).
To access Nook Comics form your tablet users will have to download the new update (version 3.1). However, you should be aware that several people are experiencing problems including the loss of all bookmarks and notes.
This is a familiar scenario, as last year Nook Magazines went from being exclusive to the Nook Color to available on Android tablets, then the iPad.

Reading comics is much the same experience as reading magazines. Pages get a full screen layout, you can flip one page at a time or see a two-page spread, zoom in to read small text, if necessary, and scroll through the contents via the page view.
As of now there are over 600 comic books available, many of them graphic novel collections. Publishers include Dark Horse, IDW, Archie, Dynamite, and “the largest digital collection of Marvel’s graphic novels available through a third party.”
Hard core comic fans will probably not find every digital issue they’re looking for. However, for the casual reader these offerings will provide much temptation.
If B&N follows the pattern fro last year and iPad update is on the way soon.
