Olloclip iPhone 6 Case Protects While Taking Photos
Olloclip released its iPhone 6 lens kit just recently, but at CES 2015 this week, the company unveiled it’s very own iPhone 6 case that works with its lens kit for the new phone.
The case has a special cutout around where the lens kit attaches, letting users take advantage of lens kit and take photos with their iPhone 6 while still using a case.
One of the big caveats of the Olloclip lens kit has been the inability to keep a case on your iPhone while you have the lens kit attached, meaning that you had to go without a case permanently, or deal with the annoyance of taking it off and putting it back on every time that you wanted to use the lens kit to take photos.
The case itself is mostly made of a hard durable plastic and the edges are a tough rubberized material that can absorb shock if you accidentally drop the phone.
The cases look pretty nice and they pair well with the lens kit, especially if you get matching colors. Plus, the case does away with that weird flip-out panel of the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5, which was needed in order to take photos.
Unfortunately, there are no details on pricing or availability yet, but you can probably expect to pay a few tens of dollars to get one, and we’re assuming that you’ll also be able to buy the Olloclip lens kit and the case in a discounted bundle, but we’ll have to wait and see what the company decides to do on that front.
