Specs & Features

Internally, aside from things like storage or the fingerprint scanner, nothing really changed, and that's fine.

OnePlus 6T Specs

  • 6.4-inch 2280 x 1080p Full HD Optic AMOLED Display
  • Snapdragon 845 Processor with 6-8GB of RAM (Same processor as OnePlus 6, Note 9/Pixel 3)
  • 128 or 256GB of storage, no microSD slot
  • Dual 16MP + 20MP Rear Cameras (f/1.7 smart aperture, OIS, EIS, 4K) Finally, optical image stabilization (Dual cameras)
  • 20 Megapixel f/2.0 front-facing selfie camera
  • Android 9 Pie
  • Screen Fingerprint Unlock, Fast Face Unlock, AI Cam, more
  • 3,700 mAh battery with WARP Charging
  • Daily Water-Resistance
  •  BT 5.0, NFC, 4G LTE, alert slider
  • and more

As you can see, the 6T is a great phone with a lot to like. However, it's almost the same as the regular 6 aside from a few small changes. We highlighted some of the changes.

OnePlus 6 Specs

  • 6.28-inch 2280 x 1080p Full HD Optic AMOLED Display
  • Snapdragon 845 Processor with 6-8GB of RAM (Same processor as S9)
  • 64, 128, or 256GB of storage, no microSD slot
  • 16MP + 20MP Rear Camera (f/1.7, OIS, EIS, 4K) Finally, optical image stabilization
  • 16 Megapixel f/2.0 front-facing selfie camera
  • Android 8.1 Oreo (now on Android Pie)
  • Rear fingerprint scanner, Fast Face Unlock, more
  • 3,300 mAh battery with fast Charging
  • Daily Water-Resistance (whatever that means)
  • 3.5 mm headphone jack, BT 5.0, NFC, 4G LTE, alert slider
  • Mirror Black, Midnight Black, or Silk White color options

The most important spec differences in our opinion are the loss of the 3.5mm headphone jack, the bigger battery in the OnePlus 6T, and of course the fingerprint scanner inside the glass.

Honestly, with the same camera and similar screen sizes, the most notable change that WILL impact daily use is the bigger 3,700 mAh battery in the OnePlus 6T. More so than the fingerprint scanner. I'd buy it for the bigger battery alone.
