One of my favorite image and photo manipulation tools is Paint.net. Earlier versions have been compared favorably to Photoshop by me and many others. Well, version 3.0 of this application is now available for testing as an alpha. (The usual warnings apply.) You can also check out version 2.72 if you don’t want to go down the alpha route. One great thing? It is free. What’s interesting is folks are finally picking up on the application. Michael Arrington of TechCrunch and Scoble are both sounding the trumpets and singing the praises. I’ve enjoyed using Paint.net on my Tablet PC. I think you will too. So check it out.
