The iPhone 6 release date is shaping up to be one of the busiest days for carriers like AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint — and we have a special list of secrets that the sales people working the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus release want you to know before you set foot in their store or get in line.

Apple confirmed the iPhone 6 release date for September 19th, when stores will open earlier than normal to start selling the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

Here are the secrets to a successful iPhone 6 release date that the sales people wish they could tell you today, so that the day goes better for employees and customers.
1. Be an Account Manager & Know Your Details
If you aren’t an account manager you cannot sign a contract to get the promotional pricing. Make sure you are one before the morning of the iPhone 6 release. You can do this in store or on the phone with customer service for your carrier. They may call it a different thing, but if you share an account with a spouse or with your parents make sure you have the power to buy an iPhone 6 and sign a contract.
Along this same line you’ll need to know any account password or lock that is in place, or you’ll hit another roadblocks.
2. Cash, Charge of Check
In the past you could not charge the iPhone 6 to your account, possibly due to fraud or an Apple request. Plan on paying with cash, check or charge.
If you want to make sure you don’t run into problems you should carry a backup credit card or roll of cash, just in case your first attempt fails.
3. Get There Early

If you want the iPhone 6 Plus you should plan on standing in line for hours unless you have an Apple Store pre-order with in store pickup.
4. iPhone 6 Cases
Keep in mind that iPhone 6 cases are not going to be in huge supply. We are already seeing a lot of iPhone 6 cases announced, but the sales person tells us not to expect a huge selection in store on the iPhone 6 release day.
They suggest buying at least a basic iPhone 6 case to protect your new phone while you wait for a full-time case.
5. We Don’t Know When iPhone 6 Shipments Are Coming
“Don’t ask when we are getting more in stock, we have no idea.”, explains our rep. Although they may know when shipments normally arrive they will not know when the iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus that you want will arrive.

Corporate stores aren’t going to be able to hold an iPhone 6 for you, so if you want to know if it is in stock, stop in and ask instead of calling every day.
6. Buying an iPhone 6 Without Losing Unlimited Data
Many carriers no longer offer unlimited data plans and Verizon sales reps can not help you with any tricks you’ve read about to keep unlimited data. Our rep tells us, “We can’t help you work the system to keep your unlimited. The only official way, is to pay full retail.”
Another source suggests going to an authorized retailer, many of which specialize in borrowing upgrades an other tricks to keep your unlimited data without paying full price for the iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus.
AT&T tells customers with unlimited data to upgrade from the My AT&T app to keep it.
Don’t expect help keeping unlimited data with a trick.
7. We Can Order Your iPhone 6 For You
“If we are out of your model, ask us to order you one.” says our rep. You don’t get in front of other shoppers, but this way you can handle everything right in the store and get it taken care of before you leave and get further back in the line.
With iPhone 6 Plus orders already pushed out to late October and early November, there comes a point where you just need to order and wait instead of call the store every day asking if they have your new iPhone 6 in stock.
