The Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update has been pegged for a release inside the month of November, something that backs up rumors and information that we’ve seen emerge for the update that is set to replace the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update as the Galaxy S3’s upgrade up from Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
Last month, Samsung announced that it would be rolling out a trio of updates later in the year, Galaxy Gear updates aimed at adding support for its older devices including the Galaxy S4, Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy Note 2. That trio of devices still doesn’t have anything to show for Samsung’s announcement, but it looks like things are getting closer.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update is rumored to be close with the software thought to be arriving in one to two weeks. As for Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2, rumors have suggested that they will be rolling out later in the year. Specifically, for Galaxy S3 owners, it has been a little bit of a roller coaster ride as several different dates have emerged.
First, the Galaxy S3 Android 4.3 update was pegged for October. Rumors have also suggested that it would be rolling out in late October, early November, ahead of the Galaxy Note 2 update which has been pegged for November or December. Now, the reliable SamMobile is saying that the update may in fact roll out in November.
No specific date is mentioned, but it does line up with previous information that suggested a possible roll out next month. At this point, it appears that the update is not days or months away but only weeks away from arrival and it appears that it could roll out close to the Galaxy S4 update which is though to be arriving at some point within the next two weeks.

Of course, all roll outs are not created equal and we should see unbranded, international variants of the device get their updates first, before the software moves onto carriers. Carriers in the United States typically lag behind the rest of the world so owners may not see the software for several weeks after the initial Android 4.3 roll out begins. When the software does arrive, it’s likely going to deliver some significant upgrades including Android 4.3 Jelly Bean features and features borrowed from the Galaxy S4’s software.
After Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, it appears that the Galaxy Note 2 and the Galaxy S3, at the very least, will be moving to Android 4.4 KitKat, Google’s brand new operating system that should debut this month.
