T-Mobile is set to get an assortment of amazing Android devices this year, a list that already includes the Samsung Galaxy S II and the HTC Sensation, and you can now add the Samsung Hercules to that list as well.
The Hercules, obviously a codename, is a Android 2.3 Gingerbread powered dual-core version of the Samsung Infuse 4G. It has a 4.5-inch 480 x 800 Super AMOLED Plus display, Category 24 HSDPA (42Mbps) and Category 6 HSUPA (5.76Mbps) which would make it the fastest HSPA+ phone on the market, 16GB ROM, 1GB RAM, and an external microSD for up to 32GB.
That’s not all that leaked out either. It will likely have NFC support, it has an 8MP rear camera with flash and 1080p video recording and it will employ a front facing cam with an unknown amount of mega pixels attached to it.
It also has a Qualcomm 1.2GHz dual-core APQ8060 application processor which is the major difference between it and the recently released Samsung Infuse 4G on AT&T.
Unfortunately, it could be awhile before we see the Hercules as it isn’t expected to get out of testing until mid-August of this year which means we probably won’t be seeing this hit shelves until the latter part of the year.
Anyone going to hold out for it?
