Samsung Readying Roll Out of Papyrus ebook Reader

We caught up with the Samsung Papyrus ebook reader at CES2009, (although no one in the Samsung booth seemed to know anything about it at the time) and thought it looked like an interesting entry into that category. Check out Rob’s video here.

It looks like Samsung is getting ready to roll the Papyrus out in Korea and later for the US and the UK. The device is an intriguing one. It requires you to sync with a computer to transfer your data (no over the air downloading here) and also has a small suite of apps like notes, contacts, calculator, etc It also has a touch screen. It will be interesting to see how this all plays when the roll out occurs, especially if what we’re hearing about pricing ($299) holds up.
