Samsung shipping hybrid drives

GBM forum member, FeralBoy, just let us know that Samsung is now shipping their 80gb, 120gb, and 160gb hybrd are to OEMs, and that they will be available in retail outlets soon. No word on pricing.

These 2.5″ drives feature 128mb or 256mb of flash memory, cutting boot time by 50%, and adding 30 minutes of battery life. This will surely bode well for mobile devices like Tablet PCs and Ultra-Mobile PCs.
