If you’ve been waiting for a 4G LTE smartphone with a physical keyboard, it looks like your lucky day will arrive soon as the Samsung Stratosphere has passed through the FCC and lo and behold it has 4G LTE capabilities on board. The Stratosphere is certainly not going to turn heads like the Motorola Droid Bionic will but it will definitely find a niche on Verizon.
Especially if it’s rocking a cheap price tag when it arrives. Speaking of a release date, there is no word yet on when the Stratosphere will be out but now that it’s gotten the FCC’s approval, we’re one step closer to seeing it get released.
The Samsung Stratosphere is rumored to include a 1GHz single-core processor, a 4-inch Super AMOLED display, and two cameras to go along with that physical QWERTY keyboard.
And while it might find a niche amongst the physical keyboard faithful, Verizon is going to have a rough time making it appeal to anyone else. If you recall, the Droid Prime is rumored to be out in October and the Droid Bionic, the first dual-core 4G LTE smartphone, goes on sale tomorrow.
Keep an eye out for some more Stratosphere leaks as we get closer to launch.
