Scott eVest Wants to Let You Carry It All On

I’m a big fan of Scott eVest clothing. I have several different jackets that I use to tote gadgets and the like. I know Xavier is as well (remember this video?). Scott eVest is preparing to come out with a trench coat and from what I can see will allow you to dispense with carry on luggage for a short trip.

I’m not sure I buy (or would buy) the concept but I admire the aim. Essentially you’ve got more pockets than you would probably want to fill. from the picture, that includes stowing away shoes, shirts, etc…

Who knows maybe I’m in a minority opinion here and this will catch on.

Might be a little heavy/warm to carry at CES, but I could in fact use something like this to max out my carry-on capacity when traveling. Judging by the dimensions in the photo, I should be able to pack a 15″ notebook, an ultraportable/tablet, iPad and a bunch of accessories. My camera gear pretty much takes up my entire camera bag (it’s big) and it’s a tight squeeze to get one notebook in there. I could really use this coat for a short weekend trip so I wouldn’t have to check baggage.

And, BTW, a shout out to Steve S, who posted about this coat in the forums before Warner caught onto it.
