Install It If You Have An Unfixable iOS 9 Problem

The iOS 9.0.2 update comes with a few other fixes including:

- Resolves an issue that prevented iMessage activation for some users
- Resolves an issue where an iCloud backup could be interrupted after starting a manual backup
- Fixes an issue where the screen could incorrectly rotate when receiving notifications

If those were impacting your device's performance, you'll want to consider the new software. There's another reason to consider it though.

While the iOS 9.0.2 change log only lists a few fixes, there's a chance it could fix problems not listed on the change log. We've seen this happen on several occasions, where a new iOS update solves some issue that wasn't even listed.

In particular, we've had iOS updates iron out abnormal battery drain and connectivity issues without noting them in the official list. So, if you've tried everything and you don't want to bring the device to an Apple Store, you might want to try iOS 9.0.2.

If the issue persists, it's probably time to take it in to see if Apple's Geniuses can diagnose the problem for you.
