SketchNotes Offers Finger Inking for the iPad

Published

on

One of the requests I’m getting over and over when it comes to reviewing the iPad is about Inking. To be clear, I don’t anticipate Inking to be what Tableteers are used to in any shape or form, but there are some options out there that will be worth testing. One of those looks like SketchNotes. Here’s a quick video of the app in action. Note that it suggests Inking with your finger, but it will be interesting to test with a Pogo Sketch.
Oh, by the way, I got my shipping notice this morning for the iPad.

I fear that any capacitive solution will be laggy and inaccurate, just like the video shows. Still, for highlighting documents, marking up and similar then the iPad will be useful.

When we finally get to order in the UK I’ll be getting the 32GB wifi for storing and reviewing docs, as well as the fun stuff. Will be using with the mifi.

As much as I loving inking, I have always wondered what the percentage of computer users who want inking really is. It seems to me that if the demand was there, device makers would make inking standard or at the very least an option.

That being said, I wish the iPad had inking capabilities.

The demand would be there if people knew about it. They just don’t… Chicken and egg. I get it all the time!
