Sony is rolling out an update to its digital e-Book Reader with the PRS-700. From what I’m reading it looks like the updates include an LED for night time reading, (although not a backlight, it comes from the side), a six inch touch screen, and more memory on board. David Carnoy at Crave says it is also a snappier performer. He got to go hands on with the device so check out his impressions.
Other news here is that Sony is continuing to rework its software so you can read multiple formats and aiming for an more ““open†approach. Sony is also reworking their e-Book Store to streamline the check out process and pretty it up a bit.
