Spell Check This: Office 2010 The Movie is Live

office2010themovieForget heading to the cineplex for some summer action movie thrills. All you have to do is check out Microsoft Office 2010: The Movie. This is hysterical fun and shows off a surprising good sense of humor. Microsoft’s Office 2010: The Movie trailer not only is filled with a clever batch of action movie cliches but it turns a few of them on their heads while offering some self deprecating pokes at the past history of Microsoft Office as well.

The male lead in this, J.T. Arbogast is a friend of mine and has acted with us here at Wayside Theatre before. His action hero in this cracks me up. Check out the video after the jump.

Let’s hope the product lives up to the trailer.

All I want to know is… WHY AREN’T THESE PEOPLE DOING *ALL* OF MICROSOFT’S ADVERTISING!? Seriously. This type of promotion is fantastic. Just imagine how cool it would be if we could turn on the TV and see an ad like this instead of those “I’m a PC” and “I’m a Mac” ads!

I concur, if all of Microsoft’s advertising were this good, I’d be sold. This is SO the right direction for Microsoft. I hope their ad execs take notice of this, those Seinfeld ads were rubbish compared to this, Office 2010 the Movie leaves those ads in the dust!

They had me all the way up until “OneNote is here.” They run down all the other programs like a line of badasses, and not only is OneNote at the very end, right after Visio which isn’t even bundled in a suite, but it gets that boring tagline. Oh well, at least they remembered it. Very exciting otherwise.

@Sumocat… I thought of it as saving the best for last and bringing in the re-inforcements, lol.
