T-Mobile HTC One M9 Release Gets Early Arrival

Published

on

Since first being announced earlier this month one of the biggest questions about the new HTC One M9 has been the release date in the United States. Last week HTC revealed it will be available from carriers in the US starting on April 10th, and this morning they confirmed more details, pre-orders, pricing and more.

On March 1st HTC took the stage at Mobile World Congress and announced its new device for 2015. The smartphone was leaked countless times before the reveal, so we knew everything about it when it debuted. However, it didn’t get a same-day release like the One M8 last year, and instead we’ve been waiting for an actual date, until today.

Today we’re happy to confirm the unlocked HTC One M9 will be available starting tomorrow, March 27th at midnight from HTC.com, as well as pre-order pages going live from both T-Mobile and AT&T. That said, T-Mobile had an extra special announcement for potential buyers.

HTC-M9-more

Starting tonight at midnight the HTC One M9 will be released on HTC.com for those interested, and AT&T will also open up pre-orders at the same time. This is good news, but T-Mobile has something even better to offer.

According to T-Mobile, customers who choose them over the competition, and select to buy the HTC One M9 from the “uncarrier” they’ll get it earlier than everyone else. T-Mobile will ship and deliver the device to buyers ahead of any other carrier in the United States, at least according to a press release being sent out today. Here’s part of what it had to say:

T-Mobile customers will get to show off their hot new HTC One M9 before it even hits the shelves through T-Mobile’s pre-order program!

Tomorrow March 27th at 6:00 am PT the T-Mobile HTC One M9 will go up for pre-order. It will be available on T-Mobile.com or at carrier stores for $0 down (and $27.08 a month for 24 months) which comes out to around the same $649 asking price as HTC. That’s also less than the $708 AT&T is asking for the device.

The kicker though, is that T-Mobile promises to ship pre-orders ahead of everyone else, and users will get the device delivered to their mailbox ahead of the April 10th release date. If you like to be on the cutting edge, and be the first to have a new gadget, T-Mobile is where to go.

The carrier claims those who pre-order the phone will get it before the “street-date” but that’s all they’re saying. At this time we don’t know just how early deliveries will be. Users could get it during the first few days of April, or it could just be a day or two before April 10th. We can’t be certain. All we know is they promise pre-orders will arrive first, but that’s all they’re saying. The press release does state they aren’t done yet, and more exciting news is on the way.

T-Mobile is also offering those who get the Galaxy S6 a year of Netflix free, which could also come to the HTC One M9, but so far no such announcement has been made. Surely they have a few tricks up their sleeve for the release, but we’ll have to wait and see just what those are.
