TechSmith Releases Camtasia Studio 6.0
We love using Camtasia Studio around here to record our Software InkShows. TechSmith has just released version 6 of Camtasia Studio, adding to it a host of new features:
- HD-quality video for the web (new H.264-based format)
- Independent audio & video editing

Nice. It’s a great program, I liked the trial, but sadly it is too expensive for my needs, because I rarely need to record my screen. But it’s great for sites like GBM. Sadly it sometimes seems as if you aren’t used to the program, because I often saw in some videos here at GBM some scenes which showed that Camtasias “auto”? zoom did something different than you wanted :) So it zoomed to your cursor, but you changed with the cursor some settings which changes weren’t visible on the video, because Camtasia zoomed too close to your cursor.

Yep, we’re still learning on this excellent program. Now we have more to learn with the new version.

Sadly, the removed the Live Output driver from Camtasia Recorder, you can no longer stream live from your computer to ustream or any other streaming websites. :( I hope they bring it back in the next update or next version.
