Seems like the developing trend towards Linux-based, Instant-on environments is just beginning to blossom. The folks over at Netbooknews.de are featuring a brief video showing the speed of the new Linpus Linux quick boot OS. This new breed of fast booting Linux operating systems reside on a computer’s HDD rather than BIOS and provide a similar selection of features to what we’ve seen with Splashtop and HyperSpace. I’m anxious to get hands on time with the new quick boot offerings including that of Presto from Xandros Linux which will be available in beta on March 16.
