Interesting read in The New York Times interviewing Steve Ballmer. The premise is that Windows might be nearing the end of its dominance given the influences of Google, Web 2.0, and regulation issues, as well as the normal Microsoft bashing that is ever present, and Bill Gates’ move towards his philanthropic efforts.
For what is worth, I have stated and still believe that things are moving so fast on so many technology fronts (and so slow on others) that Microsoft, or any large company for that matter, will always be playing catch up in the race to conquer the world.
