Nexus 4 Home Screen Widgets

I love the ability to place widgets on the Nexus 4 home screens to keep information at hand. Here are the Nexus 4 widgets that I use most often.

Slice - The Slice app automatically tracks purchases made with my email account, finds the shipping information and alerts me to deliveries.

Audible - The Audible app makes it easier to control playback of my favorite audiobooks, and with the recent syncing it's easier to listen to audiobooks on the Nexus 4.

Google Now - The new Google Now Widget shows some of my Google Now cards. I'm still playing with finding the right size and cards, but it's a good start.

Calendar - I hate opening the calendar app, so I keep the widget on my home screen for a fast look at my day.

Play What's This Song - Instead of hunting for Shazam, I can tap this widget to see what I'm listening to.

On this screen I also keep a few more apps that I use most often.

Xbox SmartGlass - The SmartGlass app lets me control my Xbox from my Nexus 4, and makes text entry a breeze.

Open Signal - Open Signal is a great app for comparing coverage and service based on your location and using real data.

Lookout Mobile - Lookout is the best app to keep track of a lost or stolen Nexus device, and it also scans apps downloaded from the web and Google Play to make sure you are safe.

Thanks for posting on all of these great apps and widgets, Josh. There’s a lot here, so I’ll wait until I get home from my shift at DISH to sit down with my Nexus and check them out. I’d like to suggest my favorite app, DISH Anywhere. I use it to watch live TV or DVR recordings on my phone. It’s a great way to kill time on my commute to and from work every day.

Dropbox is one of my favorite apps and is very useful for someone like me who wants to access files anytime and anywhere I want.

apps you telling are very basic apps. those are just informers. if you really want featured apps let me tell you…
1- tasker (looks hard but very easy and excellent when you use to with it)
2-Light manager (if your phone have led light notification)
    3-HD Widgets
4-NFC Tasker (if your phone have NFC)
5-4shared (to download free, all paid apps)

Tasker is best in all android apps. if you use to with it then no need to buy and battery saver or call blocker or sms apps…it do all work alone.
