Sigh…, another operating system update to learn all the ins and out of. I have been through so many of these updates in the years, and spent countless hours learning all the little tweaking tricks, tools to use, tips to resolve problems, etc. Then along comes the next one, and I have to do it all over again. Can’t I just buy the “Cliff Notes”?
Well, as it turns out, you sorta can! I came across this today in some miscellaneous web surfing activity, a set of “Tweaking Guides” for both XP and WIndows Vista. I spent a little time browsing them, and was pretty darn impressed. Some good educational material on the OS itself, sprinkled in with a good bit of third party tools that complement the efforts. The Tablet PC coverage is nonexistent, but I forgave them that when I saw the wealth of other info that we all can use as Windows Client users!
Besides the OS guides, the site, Tweakguides.com, has gamer guides, application guides like Firefox, etc.
Seems to be a nice resource, so though I would share it. Check it out for yourself!
Update: Just noticed that GottaBeMobile forum member K0LO beat me to it by posting this earlier in our forums! Hard to beat the GBM forum members to the punch!!
