The Uncharted 4 beta release for PS4 is just a few short hours away and while you prepare to play, we want to help set your expectations. Here we take a look at what to expect from the Uncharted 4 multiplayer beta.
Naughty Dog and Sony are going to be hosting an Uncharted 4 beta ahead of the game’s release date in mid-March. The beta will help the company stress test the multiplayer portion of the game and help improve the final product.
The Uncharted 4 beta is (currently) limited to those who purchased the Nathan’s Drake Collection for PlayStation 4. This bundle contains remastered versions of the first three games but it also grants PS4 owners access to the upcoming Uncharted 4 beta release.
Naughty Dog originally planned the Uncharted 4 beta release for December 4th but it appears that it will come a little earlier. The Uncharted 4 beta will now start on December 3rd which means it’s only a few short hours away.
With that in mind, we want to take a look at a few things you should, and shouldn’t expect, from the Uncharted 4 multiplayer beta. Use this list to help get yourself prepared for the Uncharted 4 beta release time which is set to take place at an unannounced time of Sony/Naughty Dog’s choosing tomorrow.
Don't Expect an Uncharted 4 Beta Pre-Load
While it would be great if Sony and Naughty Dog offered a way to pre-load the Uncharted 4 beta ahead of its release, you shouldn't expect a pre-load to happen.
The developer recently stated that there will not be a pre-load for those looking to play the game right when the company makes the beta available.
Given the size of the game, this means that you could be waiting awhile to jump into the game's multiplayer mode.
If you want to play as quickly as humanly possible, you'll want to make sure you have ample space on your hard drive and you'll want to make sure that you're connected to a fast internet connection. You might want to think about plugging the ethernet cable directly into your console.
