Yesterday, we learned that Verizon would begin offering twice the amount of data on its 4G LTE smartphone plans for the same price as its regular price on data plans. Today was pegged as the starting day for the promotion and sure enough, Verizon has launched a special page detailing what appears to be a very enticing offer for those that are looking to increase their data usage at no cost.
We’ve already talked about what these plans are all about but in case you missed it, here is a little refresher course.
The promo is exactly how it sounds. If you buy a 2GB, 5GB or 10GB data plan, you will be bumped up to 4GB, 10GB or 20GB as a monthly allowance. If you stream a lot of movies from your phone or find yourself constantly downloading stuff, this is certainly something to look at.
Of course, the pricing on the plans remain the same even though the data has gone up. That means that 4GB per month will cost you $30, 5GB is $50 per month and lastly, 20GB per month will cost $80.
This is definitely a huge upgrade for those of you that locked into tiered data plans after Verizon killed off unlimited data plans in July and if you’re interested, head here to check out all of the details.
