Walmart will make use of Black Friday wristbands to help shoppers know when a big item is sold out, and to control crowds. Walmart specifically announced that the company will pass out wristbands for the HP Laptop, 55" Hisense Smart HDTV and RCA 8" tablet.

Last year Walmart Black Friday wristbands were handed out before the sales started, and required users come back within two hours to buy the item they had a wristband for.

We don't know exactly when wristbands will be handed out, but many stores hand them out one or two hours before sales start.

Last year we saw some shoppers frustrated because they missed that many items required a wristband handed out in advance of the sale starting.
