The Walmart Black Friday 2016 deals start in about three weeks. You don’t need to wait for an official announcement to understand what you can expect from Walmart Thanksgiving Day 2016 deals and on Black Friday.
The signs are good that Walmart Black Friday deals will include Guaranteed In Stock offers that made the store a popular Black Friday and Thanksgiving Day destination in 2014 and 2015. This allows users to make sure they get the biggest Black Friday 2016 deals without waiting in line all night and going home empty-handed.
Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday 2016 sales are among the biggest events of the holiday shopping season at Walmart. Here is an early look at what you can expect from the Walmart Black Friday 2016 deals.
The Walmart Black Friday 2016 ad will be as diverse as the products the company sells every day, but we will focus on the electronics, gadgets, games and other Walmart Black Friday doorbusters for 2016. Don’t be surprised if you see Hatchimals in stock on Black Friday at Walmart.
Walmart Black Friday 2016 Deals and Hours
Walmart already promises that Black Friday 2016 is, “the day you can visit Walmart or Walmart.com to stretch your holiday shopping dollars even further than normal.”
Although the Walmart Black Friday ad 2016 release is still coming, the retailer tells users to look for, “Early Access, Pre-Black Friday, Online Specials,” and to sign up for an email alert with early access to the 2016 Walmart Black Friday ads.
We are seeing more retailers pull back to Black Friday openings, cutting or stopping Thanksgiving Day deals in-stores — but don’t expect that from Walmart.
It is very likely that the Walmart Black Friday 2016 hours will start on Thursday and roll the savings over into Friday and on through the weekend.
Walmart previously explained that there is a different type of shopper who goes to Walmart on Thanksgiving Day, compared to on Black Friday proper. Walmart President and CEO Greg Foran told reporters in late 2014, “It’s absolutely appropriate that we open at 6 p.m.” referring to Thanksgiving Day hours.
Even without any formal announcement yet, we expect the Walmart Black Friday 2015 hours will start on Thanksgiving Day at 6 PM local time and then for Black Friday 2015 sales to start at 8 AM on Friday with a new set of deals. Walmart typically offers a collection of deals that start at different times, allowing shoppers to line up for multiple events and items.
Here is a closer look at what shoppers should expect from the Walmart Black Friday 2016 deals.
Walmart Black Friday 2016 1-Hour Guaranteed In Stock
During the last four Black Fridays at Walmart the company offered a 1-Hour Guaranteed In Stock sale that helped remove some of the anxiety out of waiting in line for Black Friday doorbusters.
With the small changes from year to year improving the service in the minds of consumers it is a good bet that we will see Walmart Black Friday 2016 1-Hour Guaranteed In Stock deals on HDTVs, an iPad, a Xbox One or PS4, laptops and other items.
These deals guarantee that if you are in line to get a wrist band for the item by the time the sale starts, on Thanksgiving Day or on Black Friday, you will get the item you want that day. If Walmart runs out they will ship you the item before Christmas at the Black Friday Price.
We expect the Walmart Black Friday 2016 deals to start at 6 PM on Thanksgiving Day. These will traditionally run between 6-7PM on Thanksgiving Day. If you are in line and get a wristband during this time period you will get your item that day, or by Christmas.
Plan to wait in one line for one item and if you need multiple of the same item to bring friends. If you finish in one line before the hour is up you can go to another line.
Walmart Black Friday 2016 HDTV Deals
Black Friday HDTV deals are one of the things that many shoppers flock to each year with big screens at low prices, and Walmart Black Friday 2016 deals will likely include at least one big HDTV doorbuster deal and many others.
In 2014 we saw a 50-inch HDTV for for $218 and a 65-inch Vizio HDTV for $648 at Walmart for the 1 Hour In Stock Guarantee sale and many others on the regular ad. In 2015 we saw a 55-inch LG 4K TV deal at Walmart for $698.
Dealnews predicts that the best value for 2016 Black Friday HDTV deals are on 42-inch 1080P set that will be as low as $120 this year. They also suggest looking bigger with 60″ 1080p TVs as low as $400 and 65″ 4K TVs as low as $459 for off-brand models.
It wouldn’t be surprising to see Walmart offer a 55-inch and a 65 or 70-inch HDTV as part of the Thanksgiving Day 1 Hour In Stock Guarantee deals.
Perhaps the most tempting Black Friday 4K TV deal will arrive at Walmart as part of the doorbusters.
Walmart Black Friday 2016 Xbox One & PS4 Deals
If you are waiting for the Walmart Black Friday 2016 deals to get a PS4 or Xbox One, you are in luck.
We expect to see a PS4 Black Friday 2016 deal for $50 off the console price and or free games.
The Xbox One Black Friday 2016 deals at Walmart could also include the newer Xbox One S for $249 and possibly bundle in a game.
Count on a PS4 or Xbox One bundle as part of any One Hour In Stock items at Walmart that will drop the price of the PS4 or Xbox One to $300. We’ve already seen the PS4 drop to $300 after a gift card this fall.
We expect big savings on recent games during Walmart Black Friday 2015 events.
- Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare – $49.99
- Battlefield 1 – $49.99
- NBA 2K 17 – $35
- FIFA 17 -$35
- Madden 17 -$35

We may also see other gaming deals on Black Friday 2016 at Walmart.
Walmart Black Friday 2016 iPhone & iPad Deals
Walmart Black Friday deals on the iPad and iPhone will likely include the iPad mini 4, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. We could see some iPad Pro deals as well.
In 2014 saw the original iPad mini for $199 and a $30 gift card. In 2015 we saw the iPad Air 2 for $100 off as part of the 1 Hour Guarantee deals.
We expect to see the following iPad Black Friday deals overall, and it would make sense to see Walmart come in with at least two of these.
- iPad Pro 12.9 & 9.7 inch – $150 or more off.
- iPad Air 2 – $50 to $75 off.
- iPad mini 4 – $100 to $150 off
- iPad mini 2 – $50 or more off.
iPhone 7 Black Friday deals could drop the price of the newest iPhone by $100 on a payment plan with an up front discount or a gift card. The iPhone 6s Black Friday deals at Walmart could drop the price by $100 as well after a gift card and discount if the retailer sticks with offers from previous years.
Walmart Black Friday 2016 Laptop Deals
Walmart Black Friday 2016 laptop deals are sure to attract attention. There are already a lot of good Windows laptops below $300 that run Windows 10.
If Walmart follows with a similar deal to last year expect a budget laptop for $250 on the doorbusters and other options in the Walmart Black Friday 2016 ad.
Keep in mind that many Black Friday notebooks are not great deals and the same goes for off brand tablets under $50 on Black Friday.
