MSNBC is wondering (and offering some predictions) on what the eventual replacement of the laptop computer will be down the road. Of course the article looks at a number of developments that have been well chronicled like smaller mobile devices and converged devices using virtual keyboards. But how about a device that uses “subvocal voice recognition.?” Electrodes attached to your neck not only capture commands when you speak them, but do so when you think them. (That could be scary in some instances if you think about it.)
So, what do you think the eventual laptop replacement will be? And how long before we see it?
