iOS 9.3 Photos Features

iOS 9.3 Photos Features

With iOS 9.3 installed you can now duplicate photos using a built-in command in the share area of the Photos app. This works on any iPhone or iPad with iOS 9.3, and with any photo, but it is especially handy with Live Photos.

If you edit a Live Photo you lose the motion and sound while using iOS 9.2. When you upgrade to iOS 9.3, you can now choose to Duplicate or Duplicate as a Still Photo, which allows you to make edits as you need them on one of the photos and still keep the motion and sound that comes with a Live Photo.

  • Extract the still image from a Live Photo by tapping Duplicate which will give you the option to duplicate the Live Photo, or just the still image
  • Improved download performance of full size original photos or videos stored in iCloud Photo Library
  • Share Live Photos between iOS and OS X through AirDrop and Messages

You can also use this on videos and photos on any iPhone that can run iOS 9.3.
