According to Reuters, Apple won’t be selling this white iPhone until Spring 2011.
“We’re sorry to disappoint customers waiting for the white iPhone again,” Apple spokeswoman Trudy Muller. She declined to explain the delay.

So, if you are excited about getting a white iPhone 4, you are going to have to wait until Spring to get one, unless you visit/trust Craigslist or eBay. The announcement today should make those sellers happy. I am seeing a min buyout of around $1k already.
