Windows 7 Sticky Notes Supports Text and Ink
In previous versions of XP Tablet PC Edition and Vista, Sticky Notes only supported ink. With the Windows 7 version of Sticky Notes, text is now supported, which also allows for inking on text. Ink and text support in Sticky Notes is a huge improvement. The note surface also auto grows while inking, providing more room to write those on-the-fly notes. In addition, the scratch out gesture has been implemented in Sticky Notes.
Unfortunately, the Windows 7 team removed some functionality from Sticky Notes, like audio notes and the ability to copy / paste ink from Sticky Notes into another program like Journal. Copying / pasting text is supported, but not ink .three steps forward, two steps back.

What I really miss is the corkboard functionality from the earliest leaked build, I find that that worked very well.

Not sure about the corkboard functionality since I didn’t mess with the early builds, but I’ll be submitting feedback about copy/paste of ink the other day and encourage others to do the same.
